The Traction Plus Story, 18 Years and Counting!
Since 1990, Traction Plus has been the industry leader in slip-and-fall accident prevention and has engineered a wide range of products saving business owners millions of dollars each year. The Traction Plus and SlipShield brands have been used on products including chemical floor safety treatments and cleaners, slip-resistant footwear, caution signs, and safety matting. Since its inception, Traction Plus has been researching and implementing ways to prevent slip-and-fall events. In the beginning, Traction Plus introduced its first products, TP-321 and TP-421, a two-part floor treatment and maintenance system designed to prevent slips and falls on ceramic and quarry tile floors. In 1996, after studying the causes of slips and falls and the impact that they had on both the public and private sector, Traction Plus introduced the Traction Plus Safe Surface System. In 2003, Traction Plus merged its best-selling products, TP-321 and TP-421 into a single, easy-to-use new product called TP-121. Traction Plus TP-121 with Slip Shield Technology is one of the first ever floor care products to become certified as "High-Traction" by the National Floor Safety Institute (NFSI).
